Doing a list cleanup can help you build a list of better quality since it will not contain any invalid or non existing addresses, unconfirmed subscribers, subscribers who withdrew their consent and inactive subscribers.
The goal of this action is to not only improve the quality of your list, but also to improve your statistics since the "open" ratio as well as your "click" ratio are going to grow because all the "bad" contacts will be removed from your list and the remaining ones are real contacts who engage with your mailouts.
eFlyerMaker gives you 4 different and separate categories to choose from when cleaning your list. This means that you don't have to cleanup your list from all the categories, you can choose the ones that are the most important for you (each category is explained in details at the cleanup page).
Be careful, this action is irreversible, even if you reimport the contacts in your list, the status of the contact will remain the same. A contact can only be updated through the subscription form.

To access the list cleanup, go to the list tab and choose manage list. Click on the view and edit of the list you want to clean, then click on the action List cleanup in the section Next available actions at the end of the page.
