This Welcome workflow is to send messages to new subscribers. The first step is to enter the workflow informations. There is a diagram to help you visualize how the workflow works. In shorter words: the only way a contact will receive the welcome message is by confirming his subscription first. The message will then, be sent out after a specific delay.
Just like the other workflows, when you save and go to step 2, you’ll be able to choose the delay. This way you can choose when to send your welcome email, if you prefer hours, days or weeks for your welcome email.
At this page you can also edit the look of your message. The current look of this email gives you an example of a promo code, which is a great way to do welcome emails, it drives new contacts to your website and makes them want to purchase. To modify the welcome message, you can either click on factory reset to come back to the first version of the message or you can click on Customize design. In this section, you’ll be able to add your logo, change subject, and change the email body. For the email body you can click on the classic editor or the html editor. Those editors are there to help you modify, the text in a simpler way.
If you are used to using the Drag and Drop Builder, you’ll recognize it and you’ll have no problem changing the text to what you want it to be.
A great option is to also create a message in the drag and drop builder before you create this new workflow. If you already created a message and you wish to use it as a welcome email, you also have access to this option. This is the easiest way to go create a welcome messages. This, gives you access to all the normal tools from the drag and drop builder and not just the options from the classic editor in the email body section. Therefore it’s easier for you to create a nice welcome message.
If you don’t click on that option, the section underneath gives you access to choosing the links colors for the different link types: default, active, visited or hover link color.
Once you are satisfied with the changes or you have chosen the right message to refer too for this workflow, you can click on save and continue, this will bring you back to the previous page where you’ll be able to click on Activate Workflow. The last thing to think about is to select an activation date and a deactivation date (if necessary).
